Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Apply for Marriage License in Arkansas
The former 'Good Morning America' hosts took a step towards marriage one year after announcing their engagement.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, formerly of 'Good Morning America,' have applied for a marriage license in Arkansas, the state where Holmes was born. The application was reportedly filed on September 18, according to TMZ, which confirmed the news with the Washington County Clerk's office.
This development comes one year after the couple announced their engagement in mid-October 2023 on their joint podcast, 'Amy & T.J.' They had revealed at the time that the engagement had occurred a month prior. Holmes had previously shared on 'Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast' in May that a wedding date had been set, though he did not specify when.
The former news anchors' relationship first came to light in November 2022, sparking widespread attention as both were married to other individuals at the time. Following an internal investigation by ABC News, Robach and Holmes departed the network in early 2023. A spokesperson for ABC News stated that the decision for them to move on was mutual and acknowledged their contributions to the network.
Prior to their departures, they had been taken off the air while ABC News navigated the situation surrounding their relationship. The affair's revelation led to the dissolution of both their long-term marriages. Holmes filed for divorce from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, in December 2022. Fiebig and Robach's ex-husband, Andrew Shue, have since reportedly begun a relationship, with sources indicating in January that their relationship is serious and they have discussed marriage, though they are not rushing into it.
Robach and Holmes launched their podcast, 'Amy & T.J.,' with iHeartMedia in December 2023, where they have openly discussed their relationship, its origins, and their future together.
Robach has two daughters, Ava and Annalise, from her first marriage to Tim McIntosh. Holmes has a daughter, Sabine, with Fiebig, and also has a daughter, Brianna, and a son, Jaiden, from a previous marriage to Amy Ferson. Robach and Shue finalized their divorce in March 2023.
