The 'Power Rangers' star and Donnie Wahlberg were aboard a private jet that skidded off the runway and crashed into a fence in Las Vegas.
Actress Amy Jo Johnson has shared her experience of being on a private jet that skidded off a runway and crashed into a fence in Las Vegas, an incident that also involved Donnie Wahlberg.
Johnson, best known for her role as the original Pink Ranger in "Power Rangers," posted details of the frightening event on Instagram, expressing gratitude for her survival.
"It was an eventful weekend. That's for sure," Johnson wrote. "Watching the incredible Donnie Wahlberg and his mates crush it in their last show in Vegas. And then surviving a very hairy plane situation. But we did. And I'm grateful and very happy to be alive!"
She included photos from inside the aircraft and an image of the plane's wing after it impacted a fence. Another image depicted Wahlberg and the flight crew praying on the tarmac following the incident.
Wahlberg, who was in Las Vegas for the New Kids on the Block's residency, also addressed the incident on social media, reassuring fans that he and his companions were unharmed. "Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster," he stated. "The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not."
The plane veered off the runway during a failed take-off attempt at Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday. Emergency services responded to the scene, and no injuries were reported. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the incident and stated that two runways were temporarily closed for inspection, leading to flight delays.
New Kids on the Block concluded their residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM over the weekend. Wahlberg is also known for his role in the CBS police procedural "Blue Bloods" and its spin-off series "Boston Blue."
