Amy Jo Johnson, Donnie Wahlberg Unharmed After Jet Skids Off Las Vegas Runway

“Power Rangers” star Amy Jo Johnson stated she is “happy to be alive” after a private jet carrying a group, including actress Amy Jo Johnson and Donnie Wahlberg, skidded off a Las Vegas airport runway on Sunday.

The Dassault Falcon 50 jet reportedly failed to achieve takeoff speed at Harry Reid International Airport, overran the runway, and impacted a perimeter fence. The incident led to the closure of two runways and caused flight delays.

Johnson, 56, shared her experience on Instagram, writing, “It was an eventful weekend. That’s for sure. Watching the incredible Donnie Wahlberg and his mates crush it in their last show in Vegas. And then surviving a very hairy plane situation. But we did. And I’m grateful and very happy to be alive!”

She included photos from the incident, one from inside the aircraft and another showing the jet’s wing lodged in the fence.

Wahlberg, 57, responded to Johnson’s post, commenting, “You rock Amy Jo! So thankful for you, and for my buddy Matt! So very blessed!” referring to Johnson’s boyfriend and “Power Rangers” writer Matt Hotson, who was also on board.

In an Instagram video, Wahlberg reassured fans that everyone was safe and credited the pilots for averting a more serious accident. “We’re all OK. I’m OK. We were taking off and didn’t get up in the air and ran out of runway,” he stated. “I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives. And God covered us.” He added that the pilots maneuvered the jet to avoid obstacles such as fences, trucks, and equipment.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily halted flights at the airport due to an “aircraft emergency.”

Wahlberg was in Las Vegas for the New Kids on the Block residency, The Right Stuff, at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Johnson and Hotson were in attendance for the final shows of the residency.
