Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Amy Dowden has shared that winning the Channel 4 show "Celebrity Hunted" has instilled a belief that she can "achieve anything" after her recent battle with breast cancer. Dowden, aged 36, secured a joint victory in the latest series alongside Strictly's Carlos Gu, sharing the win with actor Brian Conley and his daughter, comedian Lucy Conley. This marks the first time in the show's history that two pairs have evaded capture.

The program involves celebrities going on the run from a team of hunters, with proceeds benefiting Stand Up To Cancer. The finale saw Dowden and Gu, along with Conley and his daughter, narrowly escape capture by boarding an extraction plane from a beach in North Wales.

Dowden, who was diagnosed with grade three breast cancer in May 2023 at age 32, found a lump shortly before her honeymoon. She has been open about her treatment, which included a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and fertility treatment, leading to early menopause. Her experiences were documented in the BBC program "Strictly Amy: Cancer And Me."

Dowden returned to the ballroom in 2025 and expressed her gratitude for the confidence gained from the show, stating, "Cancer took a lot away from me in the last two years but I truly feel I've got my confidence back and this has given me the belief I can go on to achieve anything."
