Amy Childs has shared a series of photos and memories from a recent family holiday, posting on Instagram following the burglary of her £1.7 million mansion. The TOWIE star, 36, had taken a step back from social media after discovering her home had been ransacked by thieves while she and her family were abroad.
Childs shared images of herself with her husband Billy Delbosq, 43, and her children, including twins Billy and Millie, three, and daughter Polly, eight. In one photo, she is seen enjoying a drink by a beach bar in a bikini, accompanied by Delbosq. Another image shows her with Polly during a family meal.
"I’ve been very quiet on here for the past few weeks," Childs wrote in a social media post. "I’ve needed a little time to focus on being back home getting things sorted and just take a step back from social media for a while. Family time away was definitely needed. We have made some beautiful memories together."
She also mentioned the upcoming return to school for her twins, expressing that she is feeling emotional about it, and noted that wedding plans are still ongoing. Childs thanked followers for their messages of support.
Last week, Childs confirmed the break-in, stating, "Unfortunately, our home was burgled while we were away. We’re devastated, but so thankful that no one was in the house and everyone is safe." She added that the family was taking time to process the event.
A source told The Sun that the family returned from their holiday to find the house "completely trashed" and that Childs was "absolutely heartbroken." The source also noted that it was unclear exactly what was stolen due to the state of the property, and that police and forensics had attended the scene.
Childs' mansion is the latest in a series of celebrity homes to be targeted by burglars in recent times, with similar incidents reported at the homes of Megan McKenna and Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright.
