Following a recent ankle injury sustained from slipping in the shower, a reviewer sought a solution to prevent future accidents. The Gorilla Grip Patented Bath Tub Shower Mat, an Amazon best-seller, was chosen for evaluation.
The mat is characterized by hundreds of suction cups designed to adhere to the bathtub floor. Its ribbed texture was noted as feeling comfortable underfoot. A concern about water pooling and potential mold growth was addressed by the mat's design, which includes drainage holes intended to allow water to flow towards the shower drain.
Beyond its primary function, the mat is described as machine-washable, offering a practical cleaning solution. Its dimensions are 35 by 16 inches, positioning it as a larger option compared to many standard bath mats.
Customer reviews indicate significant satisfaction with the product. The mat boasts over 111,000 ratings on Amazon, with approximately 75% being five-star reviews. Users have commented positively on its length, grip, and overall quality, noting that it stays securely in place and provides a comfortable surface. One reviewer described it as "10/10" due to its numerous suction cups and secure fit.
