Three home invaders disguised as Amazon delivery personnel zip-tied an 89-year-old woman and held her son at gunpoint while robbing their Bronx apartment of a small amount of cash and personal belongings, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday in the Jerome Park neighborhood.

The suspects, two men and one woman, arrived at the apartment wearing Amazon vests and approached the door. The 70-year-old son opened the door, mistaking one of the men for his mother's boyfriend. Instead, the three intruders forced their way inside.

One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded money from the son, while another zip-tied the elderly woman. The group then ransacked the apartment, taking the son's cell phone, a home phone, a wallet, credit cards, and $24 in cash.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the suspects walking down a sidewalk, with two of them carrying empty Amazon packages. They fled the scene on foot and had not been apprehended as of Wednesday.

Both victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The NYPD is seeking public assistance to identify and locate the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
