Amanda Seyfried Reunites With Ex Dominic Cooper in Hamptons Post-Split

Actress Amanda Seyfried and her former boyfriend Dominic Cooper were recently seen together in the Hamptons, a reunion that comes just weeks after Seyfried's announcement of her separation from husband Thomas Sadoski.

Seyfried, 40, and Cooper, 48, who played on-screen couple Sophie and Sky in the popular films "Mamma Mia" (2008) and "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" (2018), were photographed sharing a moment at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Saturday. The two actors, who previously dated for three years after the first "Mamma Mia" film before splitting in 2011, attended the event for the premieres of their respective new movies.

Cooper and Seyfried last saw each other some time ago, according to Seyfried, who described their encounter at the festival as the "first time in a long time." She told People magazine, "Our lives are very different. We live in very different places and I just have nothing but good feelings about him."

The reunion follows Seyfried's surprise announcement last month regarding her separation from husband Thomas Sadoski after nine years of marriage. The couple, parents to daughter Nina, nine, and son Thomas, five, released a joint statement confirming their separation: "We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We've got each other forever - and it's GOOD."

Last month, the actress and Thomas, who share daughter Nina, nine, and son Thomas, five, broke the news of their split in a joint statement that read: 'We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We've got each other forever - and it's GOOD'

Seyfried has shared posts on social media that suggest an amicable separation. She posted a picture of Sadoski with a bearded dragon on his shoulder, captioned '#reptiledad,' and shared quotes about maintaining an open heart, forgiveness, and approaching challenges as the "next thing you’re figuring out."

Seyfried and Sadoski met in 2015 while acting together in the off-Broadway play "The Way We Get By." They reportedly reconnected while filming "The Last Word" and began dating shortly thereafter. The couple married in a private ceremony in March 2017, just days before their daughter's birth. Seyfried previously described their wedding as a simple affair, contrasting with typical Hollywood events, stating she felt accustomed to dressing up for her roles and premieres and therefore didn't prioritize a large wedding.

It comes just five weeks after the actress, 40, announced her split from husband Thomas Sadoski

She also explained her practical reasons for marrying before their daughter's birth, wanting to have wedding rings in the hospital and ensure legal status as a married couple in case of unforeseen circumstances.
