Amanda Seyfried No Longer Filming Sex Scenes Due to Children

Amanda Seyfried has stated that she will no longer film graphic sex scenes, a decision influenced by her role as a mother. The Oscar-nominated actress recently withdrew from a role in a prominent series because it required frequent on-screen intimacy.

"I passed on a show where I would have to have sex all the time because of the sex," Seyfried explained. "I don't wanna do it. I'm uncomfortable with it. I'm not into it right now."

Seyfried, 40, is a mother to two children, Nina, 9, and Thomas, 6, whom she shares with her estranged husband Thomas Sadoski. "I have kids now who are paying attention to what I do," she added.

She reflected on how her perspective on such scenes has evolved. "Our jobs are weird," Seyfried told fellow panelist Alec Baldwin at the Hamptons International Film Festival, according to People. "And as I get older, it gets weirder. We have to be romantic with people that we're not romantic with." She recalled that in the past, she viewed such scenes more casually, stating, "It used to be so fun. It was a non-thing. It was like, 'I get to make out with a hot person today, and they're paying me.'"

While Seyfried has appeared nude in previous roles, including her portrayal of porn star Linda Lovelace in the 2013 film Lovelace, and a graphic birthing scene in The Testament of Ann Lee, her current stance indicates a shift. She noted that for The Testament of Ann Lee, she used a prosthetic and was not fully nude during the birthing scene, but she did appear with minimal covering at the film's end.

Seyfried acknowledged that her decision might not be permanent. "Maybe if [the project] came along again, maybe I'd be in a different space. But I don't wanna deal with being naked with a stranger," she said.

Seyfried's personal life has also seen recent changes, with her announcement last month of a separation from her husband of nine years, Thomas Sadoski. The couple stated in a joint announcement, "We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit."

Her upcoming projects include the thriller The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd. Seyfried recently announced her seperation from husband Thomas Sadoski, whom she shares two children with
