Amanda Seyfried Gets Jump Scare from Daughter Amidst Marriage Split
The actress was startled by her daughter dressed as Ghostface Killa shortly after announcing her separation from Thomas Sadoski.
Amanda Seyfried experienced a startling moment when her nine-year-old daughter, Nina, dressed as Ghostface Killa, jumped out at her. The incident occurred while Seyfried was singing a Joni Mitchell song and was unaware of her daughter's approach.
Seyfried let out a scream, which delighted Nina, who then turned off the camera. Seyfried shares Nina and her six-year-old son, Thomas, with her estranged husband, Thomas Sadoski.
The couple announced their separation earlier this month, stating in a joint statement that they had been "separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit." They added, "We've got each other forever—and it's GOOD."
Despite the split, Seyfried has indicated that the separation is amicable. The week following their announcement, she shared a photo of Sadoski on her Instagram Stories, humorously captioning it, "@thomassadoski is a #reptiledad." She also posted quotes about forgiveness and maintaining an open heart.
The pair were last seen together at an event on January 9, supporting Seyfried's Golden Globe nomination. While their exact separation timeline is unclear, their public appearance at the event suggested they remained close.
Seyfried and Sadoski met in 2015 while performing in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By. They reconnected on the set of The Last Word, where they played romantic interests, and began dating shortly after. They married in a private ceremony in March 2017, just days before Nina's birth. Seyfried previously told Vogue that Sadoski "sacrifices a lot for me" due to her demanding career.
