Amanda Bynes Debuts Music Video Amid Ozempic Weight Loss Discussion
The former child star shared a teaser for her song 'Trap House,' showcasing new dance moves and significant weight loss.
Amanda Bynes surprised fans by unveiling a teaser for her upcoming music video, "Trap House," on Instagram. The 40-year-old former child star showcased impressive choreography alongside male dancers, drawing attention to her notable weight loss.
In the 10-second clip, Bynes appeared significantly slimmer, dressed in a metallic silver top and baggy cargo pants. Her platinum blonde hair was styled back, and she sported dramatic makeup. The video indicated that the full version is "coming soon," featuring collaborations with artists Zabba and Lil Dexx.
Bynes has previously been open about her weight loss journey. In December, she shared on social media that she had lost 28 pounds while using Ozempic, having previously weighed 180 pounds. Functional nutritionist Monica Partier estimated that Bynes has lost approximately 40 pounds, bringing her current weight to around 140 pounds.
"Amanda keeps losing weight week after week, it's very obvious," Partier told the Daily Mail in March. "Whatever she is taking is working well for her." Partier added that maintaining the weight loss through a diet of high-protein, vegetable-loaded meals with minimal processed foods, dairy, and sugar could be possible even after stopping medication.
Bynes first announced her intention to use Ozempic in June 2024, expressing a goal to reach around 130 pounds. By November 2024, she reported losing 20 pounds and aimed to lose about 50 more. She later clarified that after an initial weight gain on an Ozempic pill, she had lost 20 pounds from 180 pounds down to 163 pounds on the injectable form of the medication.
In 2024, Bynes discussed how depression had caused her to gain 20 pounds, with an ultimate goal of returning to her teenage weight of 110 pounds. She has also undergone cosmetic procedures, including lip fillers last August and eyelid surgery in 2023, which she described as beneficial for her self-confidence. Last May, she got a tattoo of the Roman numeral X on her finger to commemorate a 10-year friendship anniversary with a close friend.
