Amanda Batula has exited the Bravo series "In the City" ahead of its second season, Page Six can confirm. Her departure from the "Summer House" spinoff comes amidst ongoing drama surrounding her relationship with West Wilson.
One source indicated that the network had offered Batula a return for Season 2 in a limited, part-time capacity. This source also claimed that Batula's desire to include her boyfriend, West Wilson, in filming was met with resistance from showrunners, which influenced her decision to leave. However, a second source refuted this, stating that the timing was simply not right for either Batula or Wilson to appear on the show. A third source suggested financial disagreements, with Batula seeking a salary that Bravo was unwilling to provide.
Batula's exit from "In the City" follows her own departure from "Summer House" earlier this year. Wilson was previously fired from "Summer House" ahead of its eleventh season, and shortly thereafter, Batula also left the flagship series. These exits occurred in the wake of Batula and Wilson's public acknowledgment of their secret romance in March, which garnered significant attention given that Wilson is an ex-friend of Batula's estranged husband, Kyle Cooke.
The deterioration of Batula and Cooke's marriage was documented on "Summer House" before they announced their separation in January after four years of marriage. Their subsequent romance with Wilson, who was Cooke's close friend, created further complications and was captured by "In the City" cameras. This revelation also reportedly led to the end of Batula's friendship with castmate Ciara Miller, who had previously dated Wilson.
Batula's former "In the City" co-stars, including Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard, are currently filming the upcoming season. They are joined by two new couples and one new single cast member. Notably, Season 1 cast members Danielle Olivera and Eoin Heavey, along with Andrea Denver and Lexi Sundin, who both welcomed children after Season 1, were not asked back for the second season.
Despite their marital separation, neither Batula nor Cooke have filed for divorce. Reports indicated that Cooke wished for Batula to initiate the divorce proceedings and that the former couple were still working through unresolved issues, including financial matters.
