Amanda Batula Claps Back at Ex Kyle Cooke Amid West Wilson Controversy

Amanda Batula has publicly addressed her ex-husband Kyle Cooke's recent comments concerning her relationship with West Wilson. Cooke had reportedly claimed Wilson was negatively impacting Batula's "life and career."

Batula responded to the situation via X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday, appearing to corroborate a fan's interpretation of events. The fan's tweet stated, "Kyle realized that when Amanda declined to film the upcoming season of #inthecity that he could no longer control or manipulate her anymore and melted down in West’s IG comments." Batula replied to this post with a bullseye emoji, signaling her agreement.

This exchange follows earlier reports of Cooke's criticism of Wilson. According to one account, Wilson himself addressed Cooke's alleged behavior. In a social media interaction, a user commented, "I gotta admit, I still like you West. But Kyle was your boy." Wilson reportedly responded, "My boy’s don’t call their partners ‘dumb ass bitch.'"

Cooke had allegedly made a since-deleted comment on Wilson's Instagram post, stating, "More like [you’re] a coke head that blew my ex’s life and career up." This comment was made after news broke that Batula would not be returning for the second season of the "In the City" Bravo series.

Sources have offered differing accounts regarding Batula's departure from the show. One insider suggested producers wanted Batula to return part-time and that her own push for Wilson to be included on the series was met with network resistance, leading to her decision. Another source denied these claims, stating that the timing was not right for filming, while a third source indicated that Batula's salary demands were not met.

"In the City" is currently in production with Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, and new cast members. Cooke and Batula, who announced their separation in January after four years of marriage, have been involved in public disputes. Batula confirmed her relationship with Wilson, a former friend of Cooke's, two months after her split from Cooke. Wilson had previously dated Batula's close friend, Ciara Miller. The controversy surrounding Wilson ultimately led to him being removed from "Summer House" before Season 11 began filming, and Batula subsequently exited the series as well.
