Amanda Batula has cited "continued hate" and "bullying" from fans as a significant reason for her departure from the reality television show "In the City." In a direct message shared via Instagram, Batula stated that the intensity of online criticism made her reluctant to film again and expose her life for public entertainment.

Page Six confirmed Batula's exit from the Bravo series ahead of its second season. While one source suggested the network offered her a part-time role and she desired her boyfriend, West Wilson, to be involved in filming, showrunners were reportedly against his inclusion. This disagreement is cited by some as a factor in her decision to leave.

However, other sources have offered different perspectives, with one suggesting it was simply not the right time for either Batula or Wilson to appear on the show. Another insider claimed that the network was unwilling to meet Batula's salary demands.

The current season of "In the City" is reportedly filming with new cast members, including two couples and a new single individual. Batula's estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, and former friend Lindsay Hubbard are also expected to be part of the season.

This is not the first time Batula has exited a Bravo show following Wilson's involvement. She previously left "Summer House" after Wilson was ousted from the series ahead of its eleventh season. Wilson's presence has been a point of contention, with Cooke, Batula's estranged husband, making a critical comment on Wilson's social media, implying Wilson negatively impacted Batula's career.

Batula and Wilson's relationship itself has been a source of controversy. They publicly confirmed their romance in March, a move that reportedly strained relationships with their "Summer House" co-stars, including Ciara Miller, with whom Wilson had previously been involved, and contributed to Batula's separation from Cooke.

The fallout from their relationship was a central theme during the "Summer House" Season 10 reunion, where Miller referred to Batula as a "snake in the grass." The scandal led to both Batula and Wilson not returning for "Summer House" Season 11. Bravo had initially documented the aftermath of their admission for both "In the City" and a bonus episode of "Summer House."

Despite the departure from "In the City," Wilson is slated to appear in the celebrity cast of Netflix's "Million Dollar Secret" Season 3.
