Daejon Love, who is accused of posing as a San Francisco 49ers player to defraud dozens of women, will remain in police custody pending his transfer to Oregon to face federal wire fraud charges. A judge in Idaho ordered Love detained until further notice, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho told The Post.

Prosecutors argued for Love's detention, citing him as a "serious risk of flight." In a motion for detention, they stated that the defendant "uses multiple names, multiple vehicles, and travels through many states to meet and con his victims." They also noted his use of multiple phones, lack of a known residence, and the significant proceeds obtained from his alleged crimes, all contributing to his ability to flee. The judge granted the motion.

Love, 35, was arrested on Aug. 24 in Boise, Idaho. He is alleged to have lied about his job and wealth to trick at least 26 women into giving him money. He reportedly used Taylor Chan, 18, posing as his financial advisor, to gain his victims' trust.

Love and Chan are each facing one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of wire fraud. Chan is currently on release pending trial, with an initial appearance in Oregon scheduled for Sept. 10. Love is being held at the Ada County Jail in Boise, and his next court date will be determined after his transfer to Oregon, which is expected to take some time.
