The bronzed complexions seen on "Dancing With the Stars" have become a signature look, largely thanks to social media personality Alix Earle and the self-tanning brand Dolce Glow.

Dolce Glow experienced a surge in popularity on the "DWTS" set after Earle competed on the show last season. "I already had a relationship with Alix, so when she joined the show, she was getting tanned every week," said founder Isabel Alysa. "Once everyone started seeing her tan, it became this domino effect, which I’m so grateful for."

Now, in the current season, the brand supplies nearly half of the cast, including professional dancers like Derek Hough, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Jenna Johnson, as well as celebrity competitors such as Julia Stiles, Maura Higgins, Jenna Dewan, and Sarah Jane Nader. Alysa noted that these dancers require a tan that can withstand constant movement and costume changes without smudging or rubbing off, while also appearing flawless on camera and under stage lights.

Alysa recommends her Express 2-Hour Self-Tanning Mousse for achieving a smooth, long-lasting, and natural-looking tan at home. For those seeking the full "ballroom treatment," she also suggests using the brand's Post Tan Drying Powder and Mia Instant Body Glow, which she describes as a "favorite finishing touch, especially on the legs."

Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa dancing with arms raised, bodies angled in a deep dip.

"There’s a real family feeling behind the scenes," Alysa shared. "I love that they love the tan, but even more than that, I love hearing how it makes them feel when they step onto the dance floor. That’s really what Dolce Glow has always been about for me — confidence."

In addition to its success on "DWTS," Dolce Glow recently completed an $11 million Series A funding round, with investors including celebrities Olivia Culpo, Sofia Richie Grainge, and Yris Palmer.
