Alison Hammond Jabs at Boyfriend Over 'Stream-Cheating'
The TV presenter humorously stated she'd end her relationship if her boyfriend secretly watched ahead in a shared series.
Alison Hammond, 51, has humorously declared that she would end her relationship with her masseuse boyfriend, David, 29, if she discovered him "stream-cheating." The term refers to a partner secretly watching ahead in a shared television series without the other.
Hammond made the comment while appearing on Heart Radio alongside Great British Bake Off judges Paul Hollywood and Nigella Lawson. During a game called "Rate it or Slate it," the trio was asked about their stance on stream-cheating in relationships. "If my partner did that, he's gone. You're out of there. Sorry," Hammond stated. "If we are watching Love Island, we need to watch it together at the same time. It's not fair."
Both Hollywood and Lawson agreed with Hammond's sentiment.
Hammond and David, a Russian masseuse, have been together for three years, having met when he gave her a massage. Earlier in October 2026, Hammond shared affectionate remarks about their relationship, telling The Mirror that their meeting was "so random how we met - but it was meant to be! I absolutely adore him, he is lovely... We are obsessed with each other."
She described David as having a "calming nature" that is grounding for her. Hammond, who is a mother to 21-year-old son Aidan, also noted David's "beautiful energy" and expressed gratitude that he "chooses to spend his life with me." The couple lives together, and Hammond indicated that while she is happy with their current arrangement, she would not refuse a marriage proposal.
Meanwhile, Nigella Lawson has been receiving praise from viewers for her role as a judge on Great British Bake Off. Her approach to food and her vocabulary have been commended, with some critics highlighting her "anti-diet" language. Social media has seen the emergence of memes dedicated to her enthusiastic eating style. Fans have noted her apparent genuine enjoyment of the food she samples, contrasting with more critical commentary.
Lawson's interaction with Paul Hollywood has also been a point of discussion, with viewers appreciating that she is willing to disagree with the veteran judge. In a notable instance during the series, Lawson expressed disapproval when Hollywood described a cookie as "indulgent and naughty." She countered by saying, "I don't approve of talking about food as naughty. We need to take our pleasures where we can in life."
This sentiment was lauded by viewers, who appreciated her focus on pleasure rather than guilt or shame associated with eating. Lawson had previously expressed reservations about joining Bake Off, stating in an interview on The One Show that she felt it was important to clarify she is a home baker, not a technical one.
