Alison Hammond was abruptly removed from the set of ITV's "This Morning" on Friday after experiencing a sudden illness live on air. The incident occurred about an hour into the broadcast, as Hammond and co-presenter Dermot O'Leary were engaged in a conversation with show veterinarian Dr. Scott Miller.

As the segment focused on Dr. Miller, Hammond was observed clutching her chest. O'Leary quickly intervened, escorting her away from the sofa. Dr. Miller appeared concerned while attempting to continue the program, as a retching sound was audible in the background. The show then transitioned to a commercial break.

Upon returning, O'Leary informed viewers that Hammond had to "duck out" due to feeling unwell and expressed hope for her swift return. However, he later confirmed that she would not be rejoining him for the remainder of the broadcast, stating, "Ali's feeling a little unwell so I'll be here for the rest of the show."

Viewers shared their concern for Hammond on social media platform X, with one user writing, "What on earth has happened with Alison? Hope she's okay." Another expressed alarm, asking, "What just happened to alison hammond? Frightening."

ITV has been contacted by Daily Mail for comment. Hammond has recently returned to television screens as a presenter for "The Great British Bake Off," alongside Noel Fielding and new judge Nigella Lawson.
