Alison Hammond Addresses Health Scare, Criticizes Mocking Video

Television presenter Alison Hammond has shared details of a health incident that led to her being rushed off air, describing the experience as feeling like a "heart attack" and a "massive panic attack." The 51-year-old presenter was taken off set during a Friday episode of the ITV show "This Morning" after clutching her chest.

Hammond has since responded to a video posted by Katie Hopkins, who criticized Hammond's on-air distress. In her response, Hammond stated, "I’m still a Chumba womba babs!! I thought it was a heart attack it was very scary. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, even you cos you are beautiful on inside and out."

Following the incident, Hammond was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Over the weekend, she confirmed she had returned home after undergoing checks on her heart. Doctors concluded that she had experienced a "massive panic attack."

"I mean it felt very real to me, I'm really new to panic attacks so I need to learn more about it," Hammond said in a video update. She expressed gratitude to the NHS staff for their care and to her "This Morning" colleagues, particularly Dermot O'Leary, for their support.

During the live broadcast, viewers witnessed Hammond appearing unwell and clutching her chest before being escorted off stage by O'Leary. The show then cut to a commercial break. Upon return, O'Leary informed viewers that Hammond was feeling unwell and would not be returning for the remainder of the program.

Earlier updates on her Instagram Stories indicated she was having her "ticker checked out" due to "little palpitation" and hoped it was a panic attack. She assured her followers that she was okay and apologized for leaving the show abruptly.

Hammond's on-air collapse prompted concern from viewers on social media, with many expressing hope for her well-being.
