Alexis Mac Allister Transformed Under Iraola, Future With Liverpool Uncertain Amid Contract Dispute

Alexis Mac Allister has experienced a significant resurgence this season, with his current form prompting renewed attention on his future at Liverpool. The Argentine midfielder has been instrumental in the team's performances, showcasing a transformation attributed in part to manager Andoni Iraola's tactical approach.

Mac Allister is on pace to surpass his previous season's goal tally, having scored four goals already with ample time remaining in the campaign. This scoring surge is indicative of a broader improvement in his overall game, with reports suggesting he appears fitter, more robust, and tactically astute. This enhanced physical and mental state is linked to his post-World Cup recovery and rest period.

Manager Andoni Iraola has publicly praised Mac Allister's contributions, noting his consistently high-level performances. The midfielder's all-action style has become a hallmark of his play under Iraola.

However, Mac Allister's impressive performances are shadowed by reports of discontent regarding his contract situation. It is understood that the player feels undervalued by the club's current contract offer, leading to speculation about his long-term commitment. This has been publicly acknowledged by the player, who has expressed disappointment at not being offered a new contract.

His current contract with Liverpool extends until 2027, but the perceived lack of a revised offer has reportedly impacted his morale. Despite this contractual uncertainty, Mac Allister's focus on the pitch has remained evident, with his performances demonstrating a professional dedication to the team.
