Alex Cooper Welcomes First Child With Husband Matt Kaplan
The 'Call Her Daddy' podcast host announced the birth of her baby boy on Tuesday.
Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast "Call Her Daddy," joyfully announced Tuesday morning that she has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband Matt Kaplan.
Cooper, 32, and Kaplan, 42, a movie producer and CEO of Ace Entertainment, exchanged vows in 2024 and announced in May that they were expecting. This week, Cooper shared the news of their son's arrival by posting a photo of the infant dressed in a pale grey sweater and matching trousers.
While the couple has not yet disclosed their son's name or exact birth date, Cooper indicated the baby's gender with a blue heart emoji in her caption.
The couple, who have been together for six years, married in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Kaplan's previous marriages include a divorce from Australian actress Claire Holt in 2017. Cooper previously spoke about her past financial reliance on relationships facilitated through SeekingArrangement.
In July, Cooper revealed she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. She described the diagnosis as isolating but expressed her commitment to ensuring her baby's health, stating, "I'll do whatever it takes."
The announcement of the birth comes amidst a public feud between Cooper and former employee Alix Earle. Cooper publicly accused Earle in April of making passive-aggressive comments and reposting content that compared her to someone profiting from trauma. Earle, in response, stated that the situation was exaggerated and that she aimed to maintain positivity.
Cooper signed a substantial $125 million, three-year contract with Sirius XM in 2024. Prior to this, she had lucrative deals with Barstool Sports and Spotify. Kaplan's recent work includes executive producing the "Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special."
