Alessandra Ambrosio's Victoria's Secret Training Revealed

Alessandra Ambrosio, 45, prepared for her 20th Victoria's Secret Fashion Show with a rigorous training schedule and strict diet, according to her personal trainer, Ludi Delfino. Delfino revealed that Ambrosio trained six to seven days a week in the lead-up to the event, aiming to lose approximately five pounds.

Delfino, who has trained Ambrosio for two years, focused the model's workouts on her glutes, legs, core, and back. The routine incorporated weight training, resistance training, circuit training, Pilates, and yoga. Supersets, performing two exercises back-to-back with minimal rest, were used to maximize results. "Her goal was to lose five pounds, but I think she lost around seven," Delfino told the Daily Mail. "And with the booty comes legs and then lots of core, plus we did a lot of back exercises." The trainer emphasized the importance of back exercises for posture, particularly for models who wear wings on the runway.

Ambrosio's diet also underwent significant changes. While already health-conscious, she increased her protein intake and reduced carbohydrate consumption, especially in the evenings. Sugar and alcohol were eliminated in the weeks preceding the show. "She already eats really healthy, but she really focused on eating more protein and cutting down carbs – especially at night," Delfino explained.

Ambrosio, who first walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2000 and became an official Angel in 2004, appeared in multiple looks during the show, including a design featuring large, silver tinsel-covered wings and a pink bra with a striped skirt. She is one of the models with the most appearances, second only to Adriana Lima, who has 21 shows. Kylie Jenner also made her runway debut at the show, wearing the $50 million Fantasy Bra.

Delfino, who operates her online coaching program, Train With Ludi, from her Beverly Hills studio, noted that maintaining a fit physique is achievable in one's late thirties and forties with dedication. "You just have to stay dedicated. If you eat real foods and have balance and you work out, it's really easy to stay in shape," she said. "Obviously some women have it more difficult, with hormones and stuff, but once you get that on point it's not hard."
