Model Alessandra Ambrosio has announced her engagement to jewelry designer Buck Palmer. The 45-year-old Victoria's Secret Angel shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the proposal and her new diamond ring.
Ambrosio revealed the engagement on Tuesday, two days before showcasing the ring in a series of Instagram snaps on Thursday. The proposal took place on a beach in Indonesia. In one photo, Ambrosio is seen in a string bikini, with a close-up of the engagement ring. Jewelry expert Olivia Landau estimated the elongated cushion-cut diamond to be between five to seven carats, with a potential value ranging from $200,000 to $500,000, depending on its quality and exact size.
"The shape of diamond and style of ring is very much on trend," Landau commented.
It remains unclear if Palmer designed the ring himself, though sources previously suggested he may have designed a gold band Ambrosio wore in photos in the spring. "It is likely that he designed that ring she is wearing on her wedding finger because that's his job - he designs jewelry," a source told The Daily Mail in April.
The couple, who have been dating for nearly two years, announced their engagement with a joint Instagram post. Ambrosio wrote, "I’d choose you in this life and every life. Here’s to forever, my love."
Additional photos from their Indonesian vacation show Ambrosio and Palmer at a beach bar, on a horseback ride, and in the ocean. They were first romantically linked at a party during Miami's Art Basel in 2024.
Ambrosio has two children, daughter Anja, 17, and son Noah, 14, from her previous engagement to Jamie Mazur, which ended in 2018.
