Alesha Dixon to Join The Voice UK Amidst Tom Jones Controversy

Alesha Dixon, 47, has announced her upcoming role as a host on The Voice UK, expressing enthusiasm for her new position with a promise to bring "energy and vibes" to the show. Her arrival follows the controversial departure of long-serving coach Tom Jones, who has stated he was "last-minute" axed by ITV after 13 years on the judging panel.

Dixon took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting a photo of herself in a daring cut-out dress on the show's stage branding. She wrote, "Sitting on Business! Host! Excited to bring some energy & vibes to the team." Dixon and Stacey Solomon will be stepping in as hosts, replacing Emma Willis, who has moved to present Strictly Come Dancing.

The departure of Tom Jones has stirred significant reaction from viewers and fellow coaches. Some viewers on X questioned his removal, with one commenter stating, "Can't believe they've sacked the legend Tom Jones and replaced him with Stacey Solomon. What does she know about musical talent?" Another expressed similar sentiments, asking, "Why the f**k are they getting rid of Tom Jones on The Voice again?? Reports also suggest that fellow coach will.i.am was deeply affected by Jones's exit. A source told The Sun that will.i.am was reportedly in tears during the first filming session of the new series, stating that his return to the show was contingent on having Tom's blessing. The source described an awkward moment during filming where will.i.am refused to speak, crossing his arms like a child, until Kelly Rowland intervened.
