An Alabama mother and her boyfriend have been charged with severe sexual abuse following the discovery of disturbing videos on a child's tablet computer. Chelsea Elmore, 30, and Antony Ebey, also 30, appeared in Madison County Courthouse in Huntsville for a bond hearing on Tuesday.

According to an investigator for the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Chris Hilliard, law enforcement was initially alerted by a family member who found explicit videos on a child's tablet. A subsequent investigation allegedly uncovered at least 12 videos showing Elmore and Ebey committing offenses against children. Both individuals reportedly admitted to having sexual encounters with children when interviewed by police, and they have a child together.

Hilliard testified that Elmore filmed the alleged abuse and sent the videos to Ebey. The investigation determined that some of the alleged abuse occurred at Elmore's home, while other incidents took place at a hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Elmore faces multiple charges, including first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12, first-degree sexual abuse, possession of child pornography, dissemination of child pornography, and production of child pornography involving minors. The Madison County District Attorney's Office added four new sodomy charges and three new rape charges against her during the preliminary hearing. Ebey is charged with first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12 and first-degree sexual abuse.

Morgan County Sheriff Kevin Turner stated, "When a child is the victim, we take it personally. There is absolutely no place in our community for anyone who sexually abuses or exploits a child."

Both Elmore and Ebey have remained in custody at the Madison County Jail without bond since their arrest. Elmore's attorney argued for a reasonable bond, citing her client's lack of financial means to flee and her need to assist in her defense.

Public social media profiles indicated Elmore was from Huntsville and had been in a relationship with Ebey, identified as "AJ Ebey," since at least September 2023, though Ebey's profile appears to have been deleted. Photos going back to 2022 showed Elmore with several children and her boyfriend. Elmore and Ebey were arrested on Friday after questioning by the Criminal Investigations Division. It is unclear if Ebey has obtained legal representation.
