Akiane Kramarik Recounts Childhood Disappearance and Near-Death Experience
The artist known for her painting of Jesus at age 8 described vanishing for several hours as a child, an experience she believes was a divine encounter.
Artist Akiane Kramarik, who gained international fame for painting "Prince of Peace" at the age of 8, recently shared an account of a childhood disappearance during which she believes she experienced an otherworldly encounter. Kramarik recounted the event on the "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" podcast, detailing how her vanishing for several hours as a 5-year-old led to a widespread search by family, neighbors, and local police.
"My mom comes, and she can’t find me. My brothers search around the house, they couldn’t find me. [They] call[ed] my dad. Every single neighbor, every friend… The police come, their dogs come, everybody is around the whole neighborhood searching for me," Kramarik said. "I’m missing, and no one knows where."
The situation escalated to the point where authorities considered the possibility of a kidnapping, and Kramarik’s photo was circulated throughout the town. She explained that while she was missing, she had an experience she described as a journey through another realm, during which she felt she had an "eagle-eyes perspective" and saw her family and the police searching below.
"It’s as if I have like an eagle-eyes perspective," she stated. "It’s as if I have like an eagle-eyes perspective."
Kramarik recalled that her perceived absence from her body was followed by everything going black. She stated that this experience, which she believes was divinely guided, lasted approximately seven hours, according to her parents' timeline. During this period, she said God revealed profound sights and imparted knowledge to her, describing the experience as feeling longer than the actual duration of her disappearance.
This incident is one of several spiritual experiences Kramarik has shared from her childhood. Her artistic talents emerged at a very young age, culminating in her painting "Prince of Peace" at age 8, a work that significantly contributed to her recognition as a child prodigy.
Kramarik noted that the profound nature of her experience influenced not only her art but also her parents, who had raised her and her siblings in a secular household. She suggested that the event prompted them to re-evaluate their beliefs.
