San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk publicly addressed Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels via Instagram Stories on July 4, seemingly in response to an incident involving Daniels and a fan. Aiyuk's post, which tagged Daniels, read, "... Turn your savage up."
The apparent callout refers to a video shared on July 3, showing Daniels interacting with a fan during a World Cup game. The fan was heard criticizing Aiyuk, and Daniels appeared to be laughing during the exchange. Aiyuk, who has expressed a desire to be traded from the 49ers and potentially join the Commanders, was previously teammates with Daniels at Arizona State.
While the exact intent of Aiyuk's social media post remains open to interpretation, the timing suggests a reaction to Daniels' perceived lack of defense during the fan interaction. The situation unfolds amid speculation about Aiyuk's future with the 49ers and his potential move to the Commanders.
