Airman Found Dead in Burned Car Near Florida Air Force Base
Authorities identified the 26-year-old servicewoman as Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley.
The body of Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley, 26, was discovered Wednesday inside a car that had been set on fire near Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, according to authorities.
Bolden-Cleckley, a resident of Boerne, Texas, was a diagnostic imaging specialist in the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron. Her death was announced days after her remains were found by Security Forces conducting patrols on Range Road 234 and Lewis Turner Boulevard.
Col. Daniel Micsunescu, commander of the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron, expressed his grief in a statement. "It is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of Senior Airman Bolden-Cleckley, one of our teammates," Micsunescu said. "During this incredibly difficult time, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Tamera’s family, friends, and all those who knew and cared for her."
Col. Chris Keithley, commander of the 96th Test Wing, also offered condolences. "Senior Airman Bolden-Cleckley was a valued member of the 96th Test Wing team, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and fellow airmen during this difficult time," Keithley stated.
Bolden-Cleckley joined the Air Force in 2021. Federal investigators have not released further details regarding the circumstances of her death, and the case remains under active investigation.
