President Donald Trump's attendance at the Texas-Tennessee football game was marked by a flyover of Air Force One above Neyland Stadium. The presidential aircraft completed its pass shortly before 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, September 26, 2026, according to pool reports. Trump himself landed at 11:28 a.m. and arrived at the stadium just before the noon kickoff.
The president was later seen in his suite at Neyland Stadium approximately halfway through the first quarter, broadcast on ESPN. This appearance continues a pattern of Trump attending significant sporting events during his presidency. Previous appearances include Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals, the World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium, and the College Football Playoff championship game in January.
The game itself was highly anticipated, featuring top-ranked Texas and No. 14 Tennessee, with Texas quarterback Arch Manning expected to play a key role. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian had previously noted that security protocols surrounding the president's visit could impact on-field communications.
"The one thing that you have to be aware of when the president goes to any game is that any time he enters the stadium or leaves the stadium, or changes locations within the stadium, they cut all communication," Sarkisian said in a press conference Thursday. "They cut headsets to coaches. They cut headsets to coach-to-player communication. So you have to have a plan for that if and/or when, and you get no warning. So that just gets cut out."
