AFL WAG Kellie Finlayson Shares Update Amid Terminal Cancer Battle

Kellie Finlayson, the wife of former AFL player Jeremy Finlayson, has shared a video of herself wearing a breathing tube as she continues to battle stage four bowel cancer. Finlayson, 30, was diagnosed with the terminal illness in November 2021, three months after the birth of her daughter Sophia Jai.

In a recent Instagram post, Finlayson shared footage of herself relaxing at home with a breathing tube, superimposed over an American football game. She captioned the video, "Monday night footy on a Tuesday as a chronically sick girlie. And yes I'm still sitting pretty on top of my fantasy league." The post drew supportive comments from fans.

This update follows Finlayson's revelation last month that she is suffering from liver failure. In response to a fan's question about her treatment, she stated, "I don't think anything is ever going as to plan as anyone would let you believe, but I'm 'OK' in medical terms right now besides my liver playing funny buggers (failing) lol."

Finlayson has been open about her health journey, previously sharing her diagnosis that her cancer had metastasized to her lungs. Her treatment has focused on managing the cancer to maintain her quality of life. She has undergone more than 80 rounds of chemotherapy since her diagnosis.

In August, Finlayson fulfilled a childhood dream by visiting Disneyland in California with her family. She shared photos and videos from the trip, expressing her joy at experiencing the theme park. This trip occurred after she underwent surgery to remove tumors from her left lung in June, following a previous procedure on her right lung.
