AFL Star Isaac Heeney's Fiancée Deletes Engagement Photo Amid Scandal

Isaac Heeney's fiancée, Steffie Waters, has deleted their engagement photo from social media, a move that has raised questions about the future of their relationship amid the ongoing fallout from the Sydney Swans hotel scandal.

The photo, originally posted in October of the previous year, showed the couple beaming as they announced their engagement, with Waters displaying a prominent diamond ring. While this specific image has been removed, other posts featuring Heeney remain on Waters' social media.

Heeney, along with four other Sydney Swans players, has been suspended for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season. The club cited breaches of its standards due to players staying out late, consuming alcohol, and bringing women back to their Melbourne hotel in the early hours of August 17. The gathering reportedly included adult entertainers.

Victoria Police are currently investigating allegations of an indecent assault that is said to have occurred within one of the hotel rooms. It has been reported that police are preparing to interview the five implicated players as the investigation progresses.

Heeney and Waters announced their engagement last October during a trip to French Polynesia. Heeney has since deleted his Instagram account entirely.

This social media activity follows reports of Waters being seen in tears and without her engagement ring after reportedly traveling to Noosa amid the scandal. These sightings initially fueled rumors of a relationship breakup. However, a relative later stated that the couple remained together and that the ring was undergoing repairs after its stone had fallen out.

Three women involved in the hotel incident have made allegations of sexual assault and have reportedly secured legal representation, with potential civil action being considered. Police have not filed any charges, and the players have denied any criminal wrongdoing.
