AEW Star Pac's Wife Called His Phone as Paramedics Responded to His Death

The wife of AEW star Benjamin Satterley, known professionally as Pac, contacted her husband's cellphone as paramedics were working at the scene of his death, according to a Cook County Medical Examiner report. The call occurred on September 27, as law enforcement was investigating Satterley's passing in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Natalie Taylor, Satterley's spouse, informed authorities that she last spoke with him less than three hours before he was pronounced dead at the age of 40. Satterley had reportedly told his wife he was stopping for food at CAVA before heading to O'Hare Airport. Police found Satterley slumped over in the driver's seat of his rental car.

Taylor indicated that Satterley had been diagnosed with a medical condition and was taking prescribed medication, adding that he had no history of illicit drug or alcohol abuse. Inhalers were discovered at the scene.

Satterley was found unresponsive by a 911 caller shortly before 4 p.m., who reported that the wrestler showed no signs of life. Toxicology reports did not reveal any unusual findings, and officials have determined Satterley's death to be natural, attributed to bronchial asthma.

Satterley had been in the Chicago area for his work with AEW, having competed against Andrade at the NOW Arena on September 26. In an emotional social media post on October 12, Taylor expressed her grief and longing for Satterley's return home, sharing their plans for his return from Illinois. She wrote about their anticipation for him to join them for activities such as playing basketball, setting up a home gym, taking walks, and dining out.
