AEW Star Pac Found Deceased at 40 in Illinois
Professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, was discovered unresponsive in a vehicle outside a restaurant on Sunday.
All Elite Wrestling star Benjamin Satterley, who performed under the ring name Pac, was found unresponsive in a vehicle outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, on Sunday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services were dispatched to the location around 4 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from patrons who had observed Satterley slumped over in his car. Dispatch audio indicated the situation was critical, with responders unable to confirm breathing.
Satterley, 40, was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m. by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
The professional wrestler had been in Illinois for an AEW event, All Out, held at the NOW Arena in Chicago on Saturday night. He participated in a match against Andrade and later appeared during the main event.
All Elite Wrestling issued a statement Sunday evening confirming Satterley's passing. The promotion noted that Satterley, a native of England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and joined AEW in 2019. They highlighted his innovative high-flying moves, in-ring ability, and multiple championships won during his time with the company.
"Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans," AEW stated.
