Adult content creator Annie Knight has faced criticism for wearing a traditional white wedding dress and veil when she married Henry Brayshaw on Thursday in an outdoor ceremony on the Gold Coast. Critics suggested that a different color, such as scarlet, would have been more fitting given Knight's public image and career.
Knight, who refers to herself as the 'most sexually active woman in Australia' and has previously stated she has had relations with over 583 men in a six-hour period, exchanged vows at The Valley Estate in Currumbin Valley. She wore a simple white gown with a structured bodice and flared skirt, complemented by a long train and Jimmy Choo heels.
While white is a classic bridal tradition symbolizing purity, its modern usage is largely customary. Some social media users questioned her choice, with one remarking, "Scarlet would have been more appropriate, one would think." Others expressed amusement or disapproval with comments like, "So, what's the white dress and veil for?" and "She should not be dressed in white."
Knight, 29, has indicated that while she will not be quitting her adult content career, she plans to scale back on group sex performances. She stated to the Daily Mail that she will be "too busy being a wife to do that!" The couple, surrounded by family, including Knight's parents and Brayshaw's mother and siblings, celebrated their union. Knight's adult film performer friend Lily Phillips served as a bridesmaid.
The couple became engaged in March 2025 during a trip to Los Angeles. Following the wedding, Knight and Brayshaw plan to take a week-long honeymoon before returning to their daily lives.
