Adrien Broner Detained in Beverly Hills Amidst Content Filming

Boxing world champion Adrien Broner was detained by Beverly Hills police over the weekend. The incident occurred while Broner, who has not fought in over two years, was participating in content creation for the social media platform Kick.

Viral footage captured Broner and fellow content creator Deen The Great filming what appeared to be a music video on the streets of Beverly Hills. In a separate clip, Broner is seen with his hands raised, walking backward towards officers before being placed in handcuffs. He attempted to lighten the mood with a playful walk, but the officers did not react.

Beverly Hills police stated that Broner was detained during a traffic stop as part of an investigation into a large street gathering in a residential area. He was subsequently released without a citation.

This latest encounter adds to a series of legal and public issues for the 37-year-old boxer. Broner is currently named as a defendant in a Los Angeles County lawsuit alleging sexual battery, battery, and assault. The complaint claims Broner repeatedly pressured the plaintiff for sexual activity after refusals, attempted unwanted physical contact, and publicly humiliated the plaintiff, while also making false sexual statements about them to a livestream audience. Broner has denied any wrongdoing in this case.

In September 2025, Broner was removed from rapper Cam'ron's podcast after repeatedly flirting with the co-host, Treasure 'Stat Baby' Wilson, despite warnings from the host. The interview concluded when Broner made persistent advances, leading Cam'ron to end the segment and pay Broner for his time.

Broner, originally from Cincinnati, gained prominence early in his career, winning the WBO Super Featherweight title at age 22 in 2011. His boxing career has been marked by a rapid rise followed by detours attributed to arrests, unexpected losses, and mental health challenges.
