Alisa Roever, a prominent figure associated with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, is again facing accusations of promoting a charity event that appears to be fictitious. Sources connected to prominent musicians cited in promotional materials state they were unaware of any such events.
Roever recently shared a flyer for a New Year's Eve party purported to benefit her charity, Angels Helpers. The flyer advertised appearances by Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and DJ Khaled, and listed logos for Angels Helpers, the Big Art Event, and FIFA. The flyer directed potential attendees to a website that was non-functional. Initial posts indicated the event was for 2025, but were later corrected to the upcoming New Year's Eve. Sources close to Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent have stated that neither artist was booked for this event and had no knowledge of it.
One source described the flyer as "fraudulent." While a separate event featuring 50 Cent in St. Barts on the same date is reportedly being organized by Big Art Festival, it is understood to be an intimate, unticketed concert with no connection to Angels Helpers. A representative for 50 Cent confirmed he was not participating in any event for Angels Helpers. Representatives for Adams, Snoop Dogg, DJ Khaled, and FIFA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Roever did not directly address the allegations, instead posting a past news item about her wedding on social media. She has a well-documented relationship with Mayor Adams, having previously drawn scrutiny for riding with his security detail to an event in January 2025.
This is not the first instance of Roever promoting events linked to Adams that have been subsequently disavowed. In March 2025, she advertised an after-party for the Met Gala at Gracie Mansion, dubbed the “Mayor Gala,” and a separate crypto conference at the same venue. An Adams representative at the time stated that neither event had been discussed or approved by the Mayor's office.
In October 2024, Roever sold tickets, some priced as high as $11,000, for an Angels Helpers gala that promised Mayor Adams' attendance. That event was ultimately canceled, though some guests reportedly arrived at an empty venue. A lawyer for the charity asserted at the time that all attendees had been refunded.
