Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, competing in the Commonwealth Games under his new name Adam Ramsay-Peaty, maintains a financial connection to his estranged parents, Caroline and Mark. Documents filed with Companies House reveal that Peaty, 31, continues to use his parents' address in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, for his primary company, Adam Peaty Ltd. This company holds reserves of over £1.4 million.

The estrangement between Peaty and his parents is significant enough that they did not attend his wedding to Holly Ramsay in December. His parents still reside in the three-bedroom home where Peaty grew up, a property featuring a prominent Union Jack flag in the garden. Despite Peaty netting his first million in 2022, his parents reportedly still hold a mortgage on the property.

Peaty’s pregnant wife, Holly Ramsay, was present at the Games, supporting him as he secured a spot in the Commonwealth Games 100m breaststroke final. She shared a photo of his new 'Ramsay-Peaty' swimming cap on social media, captioning it "So Special." Peaty himself has embraced the name change for his competitive appearances, though his official company filings still list him as 'Adam Peaty.'

The swimmer's campaign in Glasgow has seen some disruptions, including a ten-minute delay to his 100m breaststroke heat due to a broken lane divider. A volunteer had to enter the pool to fix the issue before Peaty proceeded to win his heat with the fastest time.

Peaty is aiming for multiple gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, viewing the event as a significant step towards the LA 2028 Olympics. He previously won four Commonwealth titles in Glasgow 12 years ago. He has spoken about how becoming a father for the second time, with a baby girl expected, has contributed to his personal growth. Peaty acknowledged the blessing of having Gordon Ramsay as his father-in-law and stated that his focus on his family's well-being, particularly Holly's pregnancy, motivates him to mature further.
