Actor Adam Driver has found a buyer for his Brooklyn Heights loft, which was listed for just under $5 million. The three-bedroom condo at 20 Henry Street went into contract on July 2, approximately two weeks after it first appeared on the market on June 19. The final sale price has not yet been disclosed.
Driver had acquired the property by purchasing two separate units in 2014 and 2017, later combining them into a single residence. The combined units cost a total of $4.24 million. Elizabeth Roberts Architects was responsible for redesigning the 2,681-square-foot space within a converted 1892 candy factory. The loft features original timber columns and beams, accented by arched windows, glass-and-steel partitions, teak paneling, and custom millwork. The layout includes three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a separate study. The building offers amenities such as a doorman, gym, and cold storage.
This swift sale follows Driver's recent purchase of a larger residence in Brooklyn. Days before listing his Henry Street condo, the Oscar-nominated actor closed on three combined units at The Standish, a luxury building in Columbia Heights known for its celebrity residents. Driver paid $11.5 million for the approximately 3,500-square-foot spread on the sixth floor, a price that reflects one of the highest per-square-foot rates recorded in the borough.
The seller of the Standish units was Mark Van Zandt, a managing director at King Street Capital Management, and his wife Lindsay. They had assembled the three apartments over eight years, with purchases made in 2017, 2021, and the previous year, totaling $6.2 million. Driver's acquisition was made through a trust, rather than under his personal name.
The Standish has attracted several high-profile residents, including Matt Damon, who previously set a Brooklyn price record with his $16.8 million penthouse purchase in 2017, and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, who bought and combined two units for $11 million in 2019.
Driver, known for his roles in "Marriage Story," "Star Wars," and "BlacKkKlansman," has been active in the Brooklyn real estate market. The Henry Street condo is situated near the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
