Daveigh Chase, the actress known for her roles in "The Ring" and "Lilo & Stitch," left behind an estate valued at $400,000 at the time of her death last month, according to a court filing by her mother. Cathy Chase petitioned to be the estate's administrator, stating that her daughter, who was 35, had been unhoused but passed away in Los Angeles County.

Her most recent known address was listed as Chatsworth, California. This revelation follows reports that Chase had been living in an RV in the Skid Row neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Cathy Chase indicated in the filing that Daveigh died without a spouse or children and was survived by both her parents. She noted that she did not have a specific address for Daveigh's father, John Schwailler, but believed he resides in the Philippines and owns property in Las Vegas, providing the Philippine Consulate General's address in Los Angeles to the court.

A hearing regarding the estate is scheduled for August 12 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Earlier reports from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner cited complications from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and chronic polysubstance abuse as the cause of Chase's death. Her father, John Schwailler, told The New York Times that her death resulted from complications of bacterial meningitis and a blood infection, adding that she had been homeless with her boyfriend and struggled with drug addiction since her early teens. Schwailler also stated that Daveigh had been estranged from both parents and was not surprised by the AIDS diagnosis given her lifestyle.

Daveigh Chase, a Las Vegas native, began her acting career with early roles in "Donnie Darko" (2001) before gaining widespread recognition for "The Ring" and Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" in 2002. She also appeared in the 2003 series "Oliver Beene."
