Actress Brittany Curran Arrested for Public Intoxication

Brittany Curran, known for her roles in "13 Going On 30," "The Magicians," and "Chicago Fire," was arrested for public intoxication on Monday, October 19, according to the Burbank Police Department. This incident occurred approximately nine months after her previous arrest for "drunk and disorderly" conduct.

Authorities responded to a call about a suspicious person knocking on a resident's door shortly before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, officers identified Curran and observed "objective signs of alcohol intoxication." She was repeatedly instructed to return to her nearby residence but failed to do so, leading to her arrest and booking on public intoxication charges.

In February, reports indicated that Curran was arrested for being drunk and disorderly. At that time, she reportedly arrived at the Burbank police station without knowing how she got there or why. Sources stated she was so intoxicated that she could barely speak, was deemed a safety risk, and was booked due to symptoms of alcohol intoxication.

Curran began her acting career as a child, with her first role in 2001 on "MadTV." Her early work includes appearances on "Power Rangers Wild Force," "Complete Savages," and "Go Figure," as well as a role on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless." She also appeared in "Drake & Josh," "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," "The Suite Life on Deck," "Ghost Whisperer," and "Criminal Minds."

In 2004, Curran played a supporting role in the film "13 Going On 30." Her later roles include a part in "Men of A Certain Age," the films "Akeelah and the Bee," "The Uninvited," and "Legally Blondes," and a recurring role on "Twisted." From 2017 to 2020, she portrayed Fen in the Syfy series "The Magicians."

Her most recent project is the upcoming holiday film "The Christmas Heartbeat," scheduled for release in 2026. The movie's synopsis describes Curran's character, Julia Winters, returning to her hometown after a cardiac arrest halts her career. She is described as needing to face her past and an unexpected future.

Curran attended a screening for "The Christmas Heartbeat" in Nashville on October 15, just four days before her recent arrest.

In addition to her acting career, Curran has maintained an active social media presence. Earlier this week, she posted a photo of her pet rat on Instagram. She also shared a tribute to the late actor RJ Mitte, who passed away on October 12 at the age of 34, posting a photo of them together with a broken heart emoji.
