Actor Keegan Allen shared a disturbing video on Thursday detailing an apparent robbery at gunpoint and knifepoint outside a West Hollywood grocery store. Allen, known for his role in the teen drama “Pretty Little Liars,” posted the video on Instagram shortly after the incident.
In the video, Allen, whose face appeared bloody, stated, “I was just robbed of my watch. These two dudes hit me in the head, pointed a gun at me with a knife, and then took off.” He described being approached by two masked men as he loaded items into his truck.
According to a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, one assailant held a handgun to Allen's face while the other demanded his watch and bracelet, brandishing a knife. Surveillance footage appears to capture the attack and the suspects fleeing the scene.
Allen expressed his dismay in the video's caption, writing, “West Hollywood is not safe anymore. Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight. My life for a watch.” He tagged Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, urging them to use surveillance cameras to identify the perpetrators.
Deputies reported that Allen sustained a laceration to his forehead. He was assessed by the Los Angeles County Fire Department but did not require hospitalization.
Authorities are seeking information regarding the robbery and have provided contact details for West Hollywood Station Detectives and Crime Stoppers for anyone with relevant tips.
