Accused Killer Urged Friend to Watch 'Saltburn,' Compared Himself to Character
Texts allegedly sent by Beau Lamarre-Condon days before the double murder reveal a comparison to the film's protagonist.
Beau Lamarre-Condon, accused of killing his ex-boyfriend Jesse Baird and Baird's new partner Luke Davies, urged a friend twice to watch the erotic thriller "Saltburn," comparing himself to the film's main character, according to text messages.
Lamarre-Condon allegedly sent the messages to his friend Fiona Rosso in the days leading up to the February 19, 2024, murders. One text read, "You have to watch Saltburn, I can visualise myself playing that character." Another message stated, "You have to watch Saltburn." Rosso reportedly struggles to recall the exact nature of the messages, stating "yay or nay?" regarding their content.
The film "Saltburn" stars Barry Keoghan as an aristocratic young man who becomes obsessed with a fellow student.
Baird, 26, and Davies, 29, were allegedly killed by Lamarre-Condon at Baird's Sydney apartment on February 19, 2024. Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, allegedly transported their bodies in a van and later visited Rosso's home to clean blood from the vehicle's boot.
