Abbey Clancy Jokingly Accuses Peter Crouch of Cheating Over New Moustache
The model questioned her husband's new facial hair and hairstyle on their podcast, likening him to Alfalfa and suggesting infidelity.
Abbey Clancy has playfully accused her husband, Peter Crouch, of having a mid-life crisis and potentially cheating due to his new moustache and hairstyle. The couple discussed the former footballer's altered appearance on their podcast, "The Therapy Crouch."
Clancy, 40, expressed her surprise at Crouch's new look, which includes a moustache and a middle-parted, gelled hairstyle. "I was like, 'Who the hell is this?'" she said, jokingly questioning if he was having an affair. She described him as looking like "Alfalfa from The Little Rascals" with a jumper tied around his shoulders.
Crouch, 45, explained that the moustache was a spontaneous decision for fun, and that his daughter, Sophia, had been styling his hair. He added that he wore the jumper around his shoulders for practicality while using the restroom. Despite his explanations, Clancy persisted with her lighthearted accusations, suggesting his makeover was indicative of infidelity or a mid-life crisis.
"I think you must be having an affair; you gotta be," Clancy stated on the podcast. Crouch responded that her reaction was amusing and encouraged him to continue with the look. "It's winding you up, so it's making me want to do it more," he said.
Clancy clarified that she actually liked the moustache and hairstyle, but found it surprising given Crouch's usual disinterest in his appearance over the past two decades. "I actually like the tash, and I actually like your hair in the middle part, but it's just so... for someone who's had zero interest in how they look for the past 20 years," she remarked.
Crouch, however, defended his grooming, stating, "I take pride in my appearance, actually. I don't give a f**k." Clancy countered that he is typically the type of person to simply put on clothes after showering.
Last week, the couple shared a PDA-filled Instagram post during a getaway, with Clancy seen in a bikini kissing Crouch on the beach. The couple had previously revealed plans for a "dry half term," engaging in a bet to see who would break their sobriety first.
