Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch Disagree on Finances, Reveal Details of New Docuseries
The couple, who share a significant wealth disparity, discussed their differing spending habits on their podcast ahead of the release of 'The Crouches' on Prime Video.
Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have revealed differing attitudes towards spending, with Clancy stating she considers some of Crouch's splurges a "waste of money." The couple, who co-host the podcast 'The Therapy Crouch,' discussed their financial disagreements on a recent episode.
Clancy, estimated to be worth £3.4 million, and Crouch, a former England footballer with an estimated net worth of £35 million, shared their contrasting views on expenditures. While Crouch is generous with spending on "fun," Clancy expressed reservations about practical purchases, citing an oven as an example. "I'll be like, 'Oh my god, that's like a waste of money,'" Clancy said, contrasting it with Crouch's reaction to a potentially expensive oven purchase.
Their candid conversation precedes the launch of a new Prime Video documentary titled 'The Crouches.' The series is set to offer an in-depth look at their family life, covering their recent home renovation, significant birthdays, and their children growing up. The couple shares four children: Sophia Ruby, 15, Liberty Rose, 11, Johnny, eight, and Jack, seven.
Clancy and Crouch have described the documentary as a "warts and all" portrayal of their lives, hinting at potentially regrettable moments captured on camera. They have suggested the series will rival 'The Kardashians' in its unvarnished depiction of their experiences.
A significant storyline in the docuseries will involve the family moving out of their custom-designed home to undertake a new renovation project. As their current home, which features accommodations for Crouch's 6'7" stature, has an offer accepted, a move is imminent. However, Clancy will be left to manage the renovation and the children while Crouch travels for the World Cup.
Clancy, having recently turned 40, is also focusing on prioritizing her own goals after making sacrifices for Crouch's football career. The upcoming series is scheduled to launch on Prime Video in 2027.
