Aaron Rodgers has publicly refuted claims that he is a "monster" of a partner, calling the allegations "horse s--t." The NFL quarterback addressed past relationships with actress Shailene Woodley and former race car driver Danica Patrick on the "Not Just Football" podcast, asserting that their narratives about their breakups are inaccurate.

Rodgers, 42, stated on the podcast that he dated Woodley and Patrick "years ago" and suggested their continued discussion of their relationships with him is motivated by seeking attention. "They like to say their version of the history of what actually happened," Rodgers said. "I’m just like, this ‘monster’ of a partner, and it’s just f–king horse s–t."

Regarding his relationship with Patrick, Rodgers recalled dating her around early 2018, shortly after her retirement from full-time racing. He admitted Patrick was "depressed and not fun to be around" during that period, but asserted, "I didn’t leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner." He described their relationship as lacking intimacy and recalled an instance where he declined to buy a house together, which he said indicated the direction their relationship was heading.

Rodgers contested Patrick's account of their 2020 split, where she reportedly claimed to be blindsided. He also addressed Patrick's past comments describing him as "emotionally abusive" and leaving "a trail of blood."

Turning to his engagement with Woodley, Rodgers recounted proposing to her in July 2020, with Woodley accepting. However, he claimed that shortly after, Woodley stated she needed to "go f–k this guy." Rodgers alleged that Woodley was the one who ended their engagement in March 2021, despite her public statements suggesting he caused her "crazy depression."

"She literally told me, ‘I don’t want to be with you,'" Rodgers stated, recounting their attempts to reconcile that did not materialize.

Rodgers concluded by suggesting that Woodley and Patrick are spreading "narratives" that are untrue and that they "get clicks when they say my name" because he is a "lightning rod." He urged them to "move on with your life" and reiterated that he was "actually a good partner."

Representatives for Woodley and Patrick did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to the report. Woodley has previously described her breakup with Rodgers as the "darkest" time of her life and stated their romance was "not right" in a 2024 interview, detailing feelings of "depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment."

Rodgers also previously dated actress Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017, but neither has publicly shared negative comments about their relationship. He reportedly married a woman identified as Brittani last year.
