Aaron Rodgers' Brother Defends Quarterback on TV Amid Family Reconciliation

Jordan Rodgers has publicly defended his brother, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, on national television, weeks after the family confirmed they had reconciled following a long-standing feud. The former reality TV star appeared on ESPN's "First Take" to discuss Aaron's performance and the Pittsburgh Steelers' season.

"Rodgers was actually very accurate down the field," Jordan said of his brother's play. "The throws that were not completed because he threw a non-call or that were dropped down the field were on the money." He added that he was "not trying to be a homer."

Jordan likened Aaron's reintegration with the Steelers, who recently lost to the New England Patriots, to reconnecting with an ex-partner. "I think if you truly watched Week 1, this was a team that was a few drops and a few missed calls away from being absolutely explosive. I think they'll get better with patience," he stated.

The reconciliation between the brothers and the rest of the Rodgers family marks a significant shift after years of estrangement. Aaron Rodgers confirmed the family reunion earlier in the summer, detailing conversations about rebuilding relationships after his parents moved from Chico, California, to Nashville. He noted that the move facilitated his reconnection with his parents, followed by his older brother Luke, and then Jordan.

"There's been a few things that have happened the last couple of years, which has made the idea of reconciling with my parents first an opportunity," Aaron said in a recent podcast appearance. He described meeting his parents at the house he bought for them in Chico before traveling to Nashville to meet Luke and then Jordan.

"It was cool. There were tough conversations for sure, but I'm just in a much better headspace," Aaron added, reflecting on the positive changes in his family situation. The NFL star's struggles in Week 2, where the Steelers lost 20-3 to the Patriots, have drawn scrutiny, but Jordan's defense highlights a renewed familial support system.

Despite the on-field challenges, Aaron Rodgers acknowledged the team's performance was below standard. "The Steelers offense all played below our standard," he stated after the game, while also crediting the Patriots' defense.
