Aaron Rodgers has credited his wife, Brittani, with playing a significant role in his recent reunion with his estranged family after nearly a decade apart. The 42-year-old quarterback shared details about his personal life and the reconciliation process in an interview with the NFL Network.

Rodgers revealed that getting married influenced his perspective on his strained family relationships. "I'm happy to be reunited and that part of my life is a really beautiful addition and I got to give my wife a lot of credit - not that she was pushing me, because she never was, but just the way that she loves and supports me," Rodgers said. "Having her by my side during this process has been really special, and I miss those relationships. And there's reasons for it that don't need to be talked about but I'm thankful that that's come all the way back around."

The quarterback has kept details about his wife private, only revealing her first name, Brittani. He first mentioned her publicly in December 2024 and confirmed in June 2025 that they had married a few months prior. "A big part of it was getting married and having those conversations with my wife that allowed me to kind of open up to the possibility of coming together," Rodgers stated.

The reconciliation began in 2023 when Rodgers reconnected with his father, Ed, at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, marking their first interaction in nearly nine years. Earlier in 2026, Rodgers invited his parents to attend his induction into the Pleasant Valley High School Hall of Fame. Last month, Rodgers shared photos on Instagram documenting a "bonding week" in Nashville with his family, including his mother Darla, father Ed, brother Luke, niece Evie, and nephew Jack.

"I got to spend a long weekend recently in Nashville with my parents and my brother and his sweet wife and their incredible two kids," Rodgers said. "So I got to be an uncle, so it's really special."

Rodgers also indicated that his wife gave him her approval to return for his 22nd NFL season after he had considered retirement. "I thought last year might be it and then Mike [McCarthy] got hired, and then talked to the wife and she said, 'You can do one more year. See if it works out.' And then it kinda all came together," Rodgers explained. He mentioned potentially taking an extra rest day occasionally during the 2026 campaign to maintain freshness for game days.

Rodgers has previously spoken about his wife's desire for privacy, stating in June 2025, "I am with somebody who's private, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye, didn’t sign up to be a celebrity, doesn’t want to be part of it."
