An initial investigation into a fatal collision on the A66 near Middlesbrough last month has determined there was no 'tactical contact' or use of a stinger by police before the crash, according to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The collision, which occurred on August 22, resulted in the deaths of five young men and two police officers.
