A 98-year-old man has bested a reporter in a press-up contest, demonstrating the efficacy of a consistent exercise regimen. Bill Kober, a resident of Woodbridge, Suffolk, performs 40 press-ups daily, split between 20 in the morning and 20 in the evening.

Kober attributes his strength to his philosophy: "if you don't use it, you lose it." This approach was put to the test when BBC Suffolk reporter George King, 31, challenged him to a press-up competition.

King conceded defeat, stating, "Bill is remarkable. I really tried as hard as I could, but Bill put me to shame." The contest took place in Kober's garden.
