Audio from a 911 call captures the desperate pleas of James “Conor” Hanlon after he discovered his wife, Brooke Hanlon, fatally stabbed in their Chester, New Jersey, home on June 6. Investigators have yet to identify a suspect in the case.

Conor Hanlon called 911 around 4:30 p.m. on June 6, reporting he had found his 35-year-old wife unconscious and bleeding. "I just found my wife [inaudible] CPR, I need CPR instructions," he can be heard saying in the recording obtained by Fox News Digital. "I need you here. I need you here immediately."

During the 13-minute call, the 911 operator noted a "suspicious death." While the initial dispatch log referred to a "Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest," the operator later informed responding units that the caller had reported a "large laceration on the breast," according to dispatch audio obtained by People.

Brooke Hanlon, a psychotherapist and mother of one, died at the scene. The Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled her death a homicide resulting from multiple sharp-force injuries. There have been no arrests in connection with her death, and Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing. He has been cooperating with investigators, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

The couple met in college in Boston and moved back to New Jersey in 2023. Their first child was born in July 2025. The child is currently staying with family. Conor Hanlon was reportedly seen in Brighton, Massachusetts. Court records indicate he has no prior criminal activity.
